Set direction
Uptrend = price went low → high. Downtrend = high → low. The retracement direction flips accordingly.
Plan around the levels
Most traders watch the 50% and 61.8% retracements as pullback entries, with extensions as targets.

FAQ
How do I use Fibonacci retracements?
Mark the swing high and the swing low of a recent leg. The calculator returns the price levels for 23.6%, 38.2%, 50%, 61.8% and 78.6% retracement. Traders often watch the 50% and 61.8% levels as pullback entry zones.
What's the difference between retracement and extension?
A retracement is a pullback into the prior move (price between high and low). An extension projects beyond the swing for target levels (127.2%, 161.8%, 261.8%).
Long or short?
Set the direction toggle. For a long setup you measure from swing low → swing high (retracements pull back down). For a short, swing high → swing low (retracements pull back up).
